Dr Emma Secomb is a specialist surgeon who has a particular interest in treating breast cancer, thyroid cancer and parathyroid disease. In addition to holding a Fellowship in General Surgery, Dr Secomb has undertaken additional training in Breast Endocrine Surgery and was the Brisbane Ramsay Breast Endocrine Fellow in 2008.
Dr Secomb is a foundation member of BreastsurgANZ and a full member of Australian and NZ Endocrine Surgeons. She holds a surgical appointment with the Nambour BreastScreen service.
She is currently an elected member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Queensland state committee and has served on the board of General Surgeons Australia. Dr Secomb is a passionate medical educator and is undertaking a Masters degree in surgical education. She has been an instructor for Emergency Management of Severe trauma since 2001, and has been an instructor for the locally Trauma Team Training course since 2012.
